Sapporo

We started the day with 3 beautiful Temples and several parks in Sapporo, it`s a big city, but it also has many pockets of culture! Lots of art here too, art in stores and out on the street.

One of the temples had two statues carved from wood, both were very detailed...

Another statue along the way...

Then we hit the Sapporo beer museum which was suprisingly modern, but still kept the original feel! Lots of history here! We even walked out straight as a whistle - believe it or not!

From outside...

And look what else we found....there`s definitely no shortage of lifted vehicles on the island of Hokkaido (from the sounds of it their winter is worse then ours!) Minivans, yes, you heard correctly, lifted minivans!!! Toyotas, Cherokees, Nissans and this one and only Jeep TJ!

Rode the train nearly the entire day today, but have made it to Morioka, sister city to Victoria, BC. Found the totem pole, Sakurayama Shrine, presented by Victoria to Morioka, a collaboration between a Native North American Chief and a local wood carver. Very Cool! and even had time to enjoy the best steak dinner of my life! Wow, it was sooooo tasty!

When you said "lifted", I thought you meant that you somehow knew which vehicles had been stolen... I'm not a motor-head, like y'all.
Looks like you're taking tons of pictures and having a great time!
Love you!
