Our first landing spot

So, we've booked our first crash pad Ogiya Ryokan.  It looks like a great little Japanese style inn in Narita, fairly close to the airport. We decided to skip Tokyo at the beginning, and spend some good time there just before we head home - end with a bang! Can't wait to put on those cute little slippers when we arrive after the 13 hour flight! Women even get the chance to wear a traditional Japanese Kimono!

Alright, very first post, on very first blog, and we're excited! The coundown has begun, 10 days, 1 hour and 20 minutes to go, and we are stoked! Japan here we come! We have been plotting events and tourist attractions over the past while on a map of Japan and have a boatload of things to do! The plan....roam....wherever we can, for as long as we can! Eat, sleep, live Japan to the absolute fullest! and I haven't a doubt in my mind - we can do it! We purchased our tickets on Wednesday July 9 - flights are as follows - leave TO - Pearson Airport at 1:20pm on Friday August 1st, arriving in Tokyo at 3:05pm on Saturday August 2. Time difference is 13 hours, so we loose a day, but no worries, we can make up for lost time! Return flight from Tokyo leaves at 7:00pm on Tuesday August 26th, stopping over in Vancouver on the 26th from 12pm-1:45pm, then arriving in TO August 26th at 9:10pm. By my calculations, that is only a 2h 10 min travel time - I WISH!! ; ) Well, here we go, by my estimation, the adventure of a lifetime!
